Subject: Jay Tokasz "Tax Protestor" Article of 4/9/2001

To the Editor(s) and Owner(s) of Rochester News

Dear Sir(s) and/or Madam(s):

This is to let you know that the article by Jay Tokasz that appeared in your paper is NOT appreciated by anyone who has taken the time to study the IRS problem in this country. Not only does your company parrot the standard government party line; it quotes NO law mandating the majority (approximately 98%) of Americans to participate in the income tax scheme; describes NO legal basis for the so called authority of the IRS to force any company to act as a "withholding agent", and is nothing more than the standard attempt at this time of the year to promote the "fear" response in a large number of the "sheeples" of this country.

Many of us have spent years of personal research and are considered fluent in the various codes and regulations that are set forth by the IRS and Federal Government. We have asked intelligent questions that have remained unanswered. Some of us have suffered great financial loses as a result of a non-responsive system that is backed up by an almost totally corrupt judicial system. The US Tax Court is a sham. It is nothing more than an administrative proceeding process that is administered by the IRS itself, with "judges" handing out decisions for the IRS a majority of the time. They know they can't convict everyone, else the system would have fallen long ago. It is a well settled fact that the proponent of the rule must produce that rule when so challenged. Well, the IRS has been challenged many times and has been found lacking and NEVER has answered one legal argument. Their primary tactic is silence and dragging people into a one way judicial process

The people you have labeled as "tax cheats" have gone to great lengths to determine if there really is a liability to participate in the tax scheme. Former IRS workers are now opting out and speaking out. The system is rife with abuse. A&E ran a special titled "IRS Horror Stories" just last night showing just how far the "system" will go after people who don't "pay their fair share".

Something is terribly wrong in this country, and people are waking up all over America.

Government needs to be reminded that it is "We the People" who created government in the first place. For a long time the tail has been trying to wag the dog, and the dog is deciding that's not the way the system is supposed to work.

I would suggest that you consider having one of your astute investigative journalists take the time to do some "unbiased research" for a change, and than I challenge you to print the results of this investigation. If you do, then as a mainstream newspaper, you will be the first to do so. Unfortunately, it is also a long held belief within the growing numbers of people who have done their "due diligence" over the years that the media is in lock step with government, as they are both controlled by the same "wizard behind the curtain" who does NOT want the "sheeple" to see the fraud involved.

We hope that you will take the time to dig into this subject more deeply and then provide your readers with something of substance, NOT fluff.

I am,

Charles Spencer
