Six States Getting Something
Right
June 21, 2007
Hello, Folks;
As reported in USA Today, six states are holding firm in not allowing the federal government to jam down their peoples' throats federally mandated drivers' licenses, which are, in fact, the national ID card that Big Brother has been trying to implement for two decades.
Maine, Montana, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Washington have said "NO!"
Neal Kurk, a Republican Congressional Representative properly characterized the ID as a "papers please society reminiscent of Nazi Germany and Stalinist Russia".
I applaud Mr. Kurk for his forthright statement which what I have also been saying for many years. Perhaps there are a few representatives who are of the right mind and have enough heart to say "NO!" when it needs to be said.
Of course, they are but a few of the 535 members of Congress, the majority of which said nothing or approve of such an onerous measure.
Of course the USA reporter, Thomas Frank (June 19, 2007), writes up the story in a way which demonizes those endeavoring to stave off more government intrusion.
Hey, Thomas! What are you going to say when big government tells you that you can't say something in your writings? If you don't defend the right of Americans to their privacy now, you have no basis to cry "Foul" later. You should also be screaming in outrage at another step toward totalitarian government control.
Remember, we do have terrorists in this country. Most of them can be found occupying government offices in Washington, DC.
That is why the NO Vote Party is the only truly freedom based political party in America today. Join now.
