Americans know more about Michael Jackson's and Sean Penn's/ etc, private lives than they do about location of state capitols in the U.S. - will spend millions on a movie but complain about a tax increase while doing nothing to stop it. Advertisers spent $90 million to show 1 1/2 hours of Jackson's private life........with the entire world waiting to watch. Of course - "entertainment news" probably is more truthful than the "national" news fed to the public in controlled reports.

Richland County (SC) Property owners listen to the propaganda sent to the news(?)paper......then wonder what happened when the government steps in and tells them what they can do with their property...even to what color they can paint/repaint their homes. "Forums" are now being held to TELL the public what the County intends to do with the homeowners property.......after the fact. Someone should send Council Chairwoman Bernice Scott a Webster's Dictionary......the word "Forum" means - "a public meeting place for OPEN discussion"; "a public meeting involving audience discussion"; "a medium of OPEN discussion". Her response was that the meeting was for information, not debate. "Me and you can talk in the corner" ...."This is not going to be a show-and-tell night". These elected officials being paid for conducting these meetings!? And they wonder why property owners get angry in these "Forums"?

When the SC legislature worries about not receiving FEDERAL funds........not one mention is made that the FEDERAL government has NO money---makes NO money ----and uses OUR money to redistribute and blackmail states into "unconstitutional" mandates. We elect these "representatives" who then become something other than "regular people" - [the mantra now being used by Democrats, to describe potential voters]. If THEY are NOT regular people after election......what and who are they? Tin gods......? Oh, yes, this writer forgets.........the Constitution, State or Federal - is a thing of the past...only touted when someone gets caught in the snares set by the unconstitutional laws being passed daily. By then it is too late for protection from the oppressors..

In all the whining from Education Departments, etc. about budget cuts........not one word has been said about cutting administrative costs......instead programs are being cut....foreign language, arts, music.....for instance - - how is it that "P.R." persons are needed in a system which is mandatory......for all minors.......what are they trying to sell? The most restrictive, socialist, wasteful spending program in the state? Students aren't being taught to think......only in becoming government, drug-controlled robots, by NEA guidelines which have done a damned good job of destroying the educational system in the entire U.S. Legislatures across the country can't or won't admit the root problem - just conjure up more testing, more money, more social workers, and psychologists to deal with the recalcitrant students..........ad nauseum...........

Doctors all over the country are leaving the medical profession claiming high costs of malpractice insurance and law suits are hampering their ability to practice medicine. Again, no mention is made that years ago the medical journals stated that the AMA needed to clean up its act......removing "physicians" who were not 'practicing' medicine in a proper manner. They were not calling them "quacks" but very close to it. Turns out the medical profession is like the legal profession........protect its own no matter what the consequences.....mistakes and patient deaths are blamed on anything but inept doctoring. Is it possible those who are leaving have already made their retirement funds and are headed for the beaches?
