More Comments - The Real ID Farce

The passing of the Real ID bill by Congress this past week proves the ineptitude of our Congress. They refuse to control the problem of illegal immigrants, to protect our borders and they totally ignore the situtations caused by the increase in the population which is being paid for by "legal" taxpaying citizens. Homeland SECURITY does NOT exist for those of us who live in America.

By requiring four types of identification to apply for a driver's license, the only legal drivers on the road will be those who have this identification. The rest will be those who have NOT passed the driving test, which is the only reason existing for have a driver's license. Companies who employ illegal immigrants for lower wages will continue to do so, as they can assign someone with a legal license to transport the workers where needed.

It is obvious that working in the District of Columbia insulates the lawmakers from reality. They create agencies to carry out their more than 10,000 laws (now mostly designated "crimes") but have no idea how these agencies are behaving toward citizens. Those who are aware are boosting one of the most lucrative and fast growing industries in America.......the prison business. This keeps attorneys and judges in business. Members of the judicial system have their fingers in the "factories" within the prisons, thereby making more money for them and less for the small business people in the community.

Members of Congress today are much like our present law enforcement. They used to be peace officers. Now citizens are helping locate the crooks, while law enforcement is acting like Congress. There are limits to Congressional actions which they long ago circumvented and continue to do so. They just get someone else to do their dirty work.
