If the debts being accumulated by the government and the Fed are destroyed by high or hyperinflation who wins and who loses?
Economic reality will eventually catch up with us and the faith of those who still blindly believe in the soundness of the dollar and the economy will be shattered at last. Eventually all those dollars will be coming back to our country and when we run out of hard assets to sell, we'll be flooded with them. With no comparable value to back them up, the dollar's value will sink like a stone.
If the cash and stocks we have now are next to worthless in a few years, the huge debts for the government and the Fed are magically gone. That's great news for the kids growing up--no national debt to pay back. We will have essentially defaulted on our debts. The only problem for them is that they'll be starting from scratch since our personal savings will be gone and the country's credit rating will be screwed for quite some time.
Those with property and other hard assets or means of production of vital goods will come out on top for the immediate future as they have in the past. The trouble now is that so few of us live an agrarian life that we'll be panicking as soon as the grocery store shelves are emptied.
Inflation will suck the life out of hard working Americans. If the workers of this country cannot convert their sweat into a currency that will retain its value, they may be reduced to barely surviving.
What about other countries that are stuck with large dollar holdings when the next series of crashes occur? Our government's actions will destroy or heavily damage the economies of those countries and THEN what will the rest of the world think of us?
What really has me curious is wondering what sort of new currency will "come to our rescue" in a time of most desperate need. Will it be the "amero" or the "globo?" I'd rather have gold or silver based dollars--fat chance of that, eh?
What we're suffering from is a bad case of fascism from both major political parties. If you continue to cooperate with tyranny, you'll just get more of it.
Next crash is probably this fall. Get ready and hold on for the ride, SUCKERS!
