On the Many Accusations of Fear Mongering:
If one cuts through the BS doublethink from the two major parties, one might just stumble across the fundamental fact that there is not a single party, politician, nor even a single human being who doesn't "trade on fear" as many in the political realm so cutely put it.
Both major parties routinely engage in fear mongering whether it's one side selling unconstitutional wars in the Middle East or it's the other side claiming that citizens are going to die a miserable death if they don't suckle at the government teat for the rest of their lives.
An individual may fear being a loser so he gets a job and tries to achieve something.
He may also fear growing old alone so he marries and has a wife and family.
What he has to ask himself is, "What fears are rational and which ones are fictional or exaggerated?"
He also has to ask himself, "Do I trust what people tell me or am I going to use common sense and empathy and read and research the right and wrong of the issues for myself?"
A citizen who honestly and intelligently analyzes his life and attitudes will probably find that he routinely accepts false dilemmas in his life like: Coke or Pepsi. McCain or Obama. Republican or Democrat. Fascist or socialist. Tyranny or "living Constitution." Here's a clue: there's not a dime's worth of difference between any two of them!
If the citizens today are ignorant to the point that they're not afraid of what nearly a hundred years of the Federal Reserve and other unconstitutional corporate welfare and political/corporate incest have wrought, they'll get exactly what they deserve--and they'll get it in the end.
Our ancestors fought a natural law revolution in beginning in 1776. A little over a decade later, they had won their independence and had crafted a system of government recognizing the fundamental rights of man and created a working federal republic.. Over the years, the elites and tyrants have consolidated power (illegally--without amending the Constitution) where once it was dispersed. That is the complete opposite of "power to the people." These counter-revolutionaries are now in charge. If we keep our eyes open the next few years, we'll see what happens as a result of a political environment where principles have been long chucked in favor of talking points, polls, lobbyist money and power.
